Ground Work

Basic round pen work to develop a positive working relationship

· Spooking in place (dragging objects, etc.)

Riding

Mounting and Dismounting

· Stands still while mounting/dismounting

· Beginning of “giving to the bit”

· Walk in enclosed area safely—no directional control

Control and direction

· Walks/trots/canters with directional control

· Stops: normal/sliding/emergency

· Clock work (diagonals and side passing)

· Speed control

· Lead changes

Trailer loading

The owner can train his/her horse under the supervision of Sandy McFadden.  Sandy is available to assist the owner in resolving special problems through one-hour lessons.  All training is done one on one with Sandy.
